Not less than 22 persons were reportedly wounded on Friday morning when a homemade bomb exploded at a packed London underground train station.

The Scotland Yard who described the incidence as a terrorist attack said an improvised explosive device was detonated at the District Line train at Parsons Green Station during the morning rush hour.

The Metropolitan Police however say it was too early to confirm the source and cause of the explosion that left several people burned as investigations were underway by the Metropolitan Counter Terrorism Command to unravel the source of the explosion which they believed was hidden inside a white plastic bucket that contained a timer.

British Prime Minister, Theresa May has since condemned the terrorist attack and sent

her condolences to the friends and families of the injured persons. She also commended

emergency services who were responding to the situation.

She tweeted: “My thoughts are with those injured at Parsons Green and emergency services who are responding bravely to this terrorist incident.”
