Mrs. Favour Femi-Oyewole has recorded rare accomplishments in the field of Information Security. She is the first woman in the world to win the Global Certified CISO (C|CISO).

She has spent over 20 years in managing all aspects of information technology with vast knowledge in Enterprise IT Security, Information Technology, IT Governance, Information Security best practices, Cyber Security and Risk Management especially in dynamic and demanding large scale environments.

Mrs. Favour Femi-Oyewole (C|CISO) is the Chief Information Security Officer in the Nigerian Stock Exchange overseeing the Information Security Management department, with the prime focus of ensuring that the confidentiality, availability and integrity of digital/information assets of the Exchange are protected at all times. This is achieved by employing pro-active security prevention, detection and assessment techniques based on industry best practices and in collaboration with industry peers.

Mrs. Femi-Oyewole is a graduate of Computer science (BSc), who holds two (2) Master’s degrees – MSc Computer Science and MSc Information Security. She is currently a doctoral student. She also holds several certifications in the IT, Information Security and Cyber Security fields.

She is a Cisco Certified Security Professional, Checkpoint Security Administrator, first female COBIT 5 Assessor certified in Africa, Certified Chief Information Security Officer, Certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor. She is also Certified ISO 27001:2013Lead Implementer Trainer.

Favour Femi-Oyewole is an alumnus of both Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. She is a member of the Cybercrime Advisory Council in Nigeria with the Mandate of implementing Cybersecurity for all sectors in Nigeria and the pioneer Chair of Standard and Evaluations Committee.

Mrs. Femi-Oyewole has brought global honour and recognition to her organization, her country, Nigeria and the African continent. She emerged as the first woman in the world to win the Global Certified CISO (CICISO) of the Year 2017 from the EC-Council in USA.

Her diverse background in Information Technology, Enterprise Information Security and Cybersecurity has made her to be outstanding in resolving complex Information Technology and Enterprise and Cybersecurity issues at different times in her career and also made her to function effectively as a Global CISO.

She is versatile in the design and management of security implementations, security standards, security risk assessment, system-related security management and reviews, information security and Cybersecurity awareness trainings, IT governance as well as business continuity planning. To her, security should not be an afterthought but a factor which must be embedded from the onset.

It is in recognition of her accomplishments in the field of Information Security that Mrs. Favour Femi-Oyewole is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award which is part of the PSR National Awards 2018.
