
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s primaries in Edo State. He polled 584 votes to beat other contestants namely Dr Solomon Edebiri and Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen.
Edebiri scored 38 votes while Iduoriyekemwen got 91. A total of 746 delegates were scheduled to elect the PDP flagbearer for the Edo State governorship elections scheduled for September 10. However, 33 of the delegates did not go for accreditation.
