A new development emerged today in the governorship tussle between Uche Ogah and Okezie Ikpeazu. A Federal High Court in Owerri, Imo State ruled that Ikpeazu was validly elected.
The ruling delivered by Justice A.I. Allagoa, was on a suit filed by one Mr Friday Nwosu which sought the disqualification of Ikpeazu on the grounds of alleged forgery of his tax documents. The judge ruled that the plaintiff was unable to prove that the documents were forged. He therefore went on to dismiss the case.
