Ruth Enor Nick–Essien is a highly charismatic pastor. She believes that women should never be seen as subservient creatures not even in the church. She is one woman who exudes confidence, knowledge and commitment to her calling.
Ordained in the Living Faith Church International (Winners Chapel) in 1998, she is the founder and Presiding Pastor of the Fruitful Family International Bible Church in Lagos. She has stood radically by her mandate which is to raise true worshippers for God by helping man restore intimate relationship with his creator, redeem the woman and take her back to her original position in Christ Jesus and also return family values.
Pastor Ruth is a born again child of God, a wife, a mother, an evangelist, itinerant preacher, a speaker who is highly sought after by churches and a resource person who has graced many conferences both home and abroad. A leader of leaders, a mentor of mentors, a teacher of teachers and women advocate, she is a passionate supporter of church expansion projects and community development activities. She has supported many non-government organisations and religious ministries.
A recipient of the Symbol of Hope Woman of Courage Award, the Woman of Merit Gold Award and other honours, she has 15 published books. Her call is multidimensional in nature and it impacts both Pentecostal and orthodox churches. She is an ardent teacher of godly family values and a firm believer in the transformation of Nigeria. Her message is severe in manner, uncompromising and strict. Pastor Ruth has touched the lives and homes of many through her pragmatic and elucidating approach to the preaching of the word of God.
An indigene of Delta State of the Itsekiri ethnic group, Ruth Nick Essien is also the Founder and President of Female Ministers’ Forum which has the vision of connecting, mentoring and promoting female ministers and preachers through open discussions and interactions. She heads yet another group known as Couples’ Nest which is meant for couples and with the major objective of making the institution of marriage a sweet and enjoyable one. Through her numerous activities including crusades and divine ministrations, many marriages have been saved. The other arms of her Christian Ministry are the Fruitful Family International Bible Church and Women After Revival. Her teachings have equally influenced so many singles and many have had the opportunity to locate their purposes on earth, pursue their God-given assignments and end up leading fulfilled lives.
Pastor Ruth Nick Essien was a caterer until she had an encounter and the call from the Lord Jesus Christ. She is married to Capt. Nick Elisha Essien, who is a commercial pilot and an ordained pastor. Their marriage is blessed with children.
