Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has said that factional gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming Ondo elections, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim will not achieve his aim of ruling the state.
Fayose, speaking on a radio show in Akure yesterday, described Ibrahim as an agent of destabilization who was on a mission to bring chaos to the state. The Ekiti governor said that some agents of confusion were utilizing the crisis in the PDP to cause confusion and make the people vote instead for the All Progressive Congress’s candidate, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
Fayose disclosed: “I want my people in Ondo State to stand by Jegede, they should not be distracted. I believe justice will prevail. This is a fight against democracy.
“I don’t know Jimoh Ibrahim, he is not a member of the PDP, and he is a spoiler. I don’t know how Jimoh Ibrahim will rule Ondo State. Justice will prevail for Jegede, there will definitely be light at the end of the tunnel. I know it is going to be praises for Jegede and the people of the state at the end of the day.”
