The Police in Abuja are doing raid operations to apprehend fleeing members of Boko Haram who escaped the military onslaught on Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Mustapha told journalists that his men are working with other security agencies in the operation. Mustapha said success was already being recorded with the apprehension of two or three suspected insurgents.
On December 20, the Police apprehended a suspected fleeing Boko Haram member in the Utako area of Abuja. The man is said to have disclosed that many of his fleeing colleagues were already in the city seeking refuge.
