Four Commissioners of the Nigeria Police Force have been redeployed. The Police Service Commission says the redeployment is intended to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in the force.
Those affected are Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, Commissioner in charge of Armament who is now to head the Edo State Command. David Akinremi, the Deputy Force Secretary is now to head the Bayelsa State Police Command.
Garba Baba Umar who was the CP in charge of the Bayelsa State Command is now to oversee the Anambra State Police Command. Commissioner of Police, Lawan Ado who was in charge of General Investigation, FCIID, is the new Commissioner of Police for Kwara State.
A statement released by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, Ikechukwu Ani said the new postings have been communicated to the Inspector-General of Police for implementation.
The statement also said the Chairman of the Commission, Dr Mike Okiro has enjoined the affected officers to immediately settle down to their new roles as they would be held responsible for any act of commission or omission in their new offices.
