The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank has said that the recent statements credited to Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar have vindicated him from any wrongdoings.
In a statement which he signed and released on Sunday, Frank said the recent comments made by the two APC chieftains as regards the ongoing mismanagement of the party by its National Working Committee (NWC) led by the Party Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun indicated that the ruling party was already dead and awaiting burial.
“I am happy that some of our leaders are now speaking out against the lack of internal democracy I have been fighting for all this while. It is still not too late if others will shun sentiments and see reasons to quickly rescue APC from the current handlers who are merchants and without minds of their own,” Frank said.
He condemned the expulsion of the party’s chairman in Bayelsa State, Chief Tiwe Oruminighe by the NWC for alleged anti-party activities, saying it was wrong since the accusations against the chairman were not investigated nor was he given a fair hearing as contained in the party’s constitution.
