The Nigerian Army says it will in no distant time launch ‘Operation Crocodile Smile II’ in the South South and parts of the South West regions of the country.

Army spokesman, Sani Usman made the revelation during an interview with Signature TV, an online media platform.

Usman stated that the recent controversial ‘Operation Egwu Eke II’ ( Operation Python Dance 11) it embarked upon in the South East region of the country was premised upon the positive responses and feedbacks the Army received during its first outing of Operation Python Dance I.

“Look, this is the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Nigerian military belongs to Nigerians and they have a duty to exercise in any part of the country,” Usman said.

He added: “ It is also so sad that some people try to politicize these issues. They should have exercised patience and seen how the exercise will go. We had Operation Harbin Kurnama II covering the North East and parts of the North Central this year.

“As soon as we are done with Egwu Eke II, we are going on Crocodile Smile II that will cover the South South and some parts of the South West of the country.”
