The Mail Online has reported that a Bolivian male nurse has been detained after he was caught having sex with a female patient who had just died from lung problems by her grief-stricken husband.

Twenty-eight-year-old Grover Macuchapi was beaten and handed to the police authorities in the Bolivian capital, La Paz and is now facing charges of of profaning a corpse and obscene acts because there are no laws governing necrophilia in the Peruvian Constitution.

Police Chief, Douglas Uzquiano said the unsavory incident happened on Monday night about an hour after the 28-year-old female patient gave up the ghost at Hospital de Clinicas in La Paz and was transferred to a hospital morgue.

Uzquiano said: “Relatives of the dead woman had gone to the hospital to cancel a debt they had for the medical treatment the late patient received.

“The husband went to the morgue and saw a male nurse having sex with with his late wife,” he added.

The husband whose name was not disclosed told a local newspaper that he saw the nurse with his pant down between his wife’s legs and hit him on the back.

Macuchapi, whose identity was only made public on Thursday has however blamed his actions on a trance.

He said: “Something happened. It was like a dream. The next thing I remember was feeling a blow from behind when the woman’s husband hit me.”
