The three reverend sisters kidnapped from the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Convent in Edo State have regained their freedom after spending 53 days in the custody of their abductors.
Agatha Osarekhoe, the Superior-General of the Convent while confirming their release was quoted as saying that the sisters returned unhurt although she did not disclose if any ransom was paid for their release.
One of the sisters, Veronica Ajayi was reportedly released on Saturday evening while the other two were said to have returned late in the night alongside three other females with whom they were abducted.
The released persons were abducted by gunmen on November 14, 2017 from the convent which is located at Iguoriakhi, Edo State.
