Eight-time Olympic sprints gold medalist, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt has announced that he has signed for a football team and would reveal the identity of the club on Tuesday, February 27.
Bolt, who has always had a close affinity with soccer made the revelation on Sunday in a short 10 second video which he released on Twitter.
“I’ve just signed for a football team! Find out for who it is on this Tuesday, February 27,” Bolt said in the video.
The 31-year-old who always teased the media that he would play professional football after his athletics career, had been scheduled to undergo trials with German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.
Last week, the athlete had a rare training session with Absa Premiership outfit, Mamelodi Sundowns during his trip to South Africa, an arrangement which was set up through his sponsorship by Puma.
