The member representing Sagamu Constituency 1 in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Yinka Mafe has been accused of sponsoring killer political thugs in the state.

This followed the arrest of four suspects – Olushola Adedeji, Olusegun Olalekan, a.k.a Musket, Azeez  aka Anene and Abolore aka AB over the murder of one Arsenal-Nice within the lawmaker’s constituency last Thursday.

The suspects were reportedly caught with arms and ammunition in their hideout by the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Zonal Intervention Squad, Obada, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Upon interrogation, the police said the suspects claimed to be Mafe’s thugs, an allegation which the lawmaker, who is the Majority Leader of the House denied , saying he would defend himself in court as a qualified lawyer.

While describing the accusations as beer parlour gist, the lawmaker urged the police to charge the suspects to court in order to expose the truth behind the matter.

Recall that Senate President Bukola Saraki is also facing a similar case after arrested suspected perpetrators of the infamous Offa Bank Robbery of April 5 claimed to be his political thugs.
