President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday wished Nigerians and the Muslim community both at home and abroad peace and good health on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement issued through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, Buhari said the country was making great progress under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in dealing with insecurity, the war against corruption, the reform and restructuring of the economy and provision of infrastructure.
Buhari said his administration and the country at large needed the support and prayers of all citizens to be able to achieve the desired goals.
While asking for prayers for a peaceful electioneering process, President Buhari expressed confidence that the important Islamic ceremony of Eid-el-Maulud would help promote mutual harmony and tolerance among Nigerians.
