Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on Monday declared his intention to contest the presidency of Nigeria in 2023.
Okorocha, who made the declaration when he hosted members of the Orlu Zone Congress of Journalists (OZCOJ) in his office said his mission is to become the first elected civilian president of Igbo extraction.
He described himself as the rallying point for all Igbos and the only one who can bring unity, understanding and togetherness in order to realize an Igbo presidency in 2023.
Governor Okorocha further stressed that the campaigns of calumny against him were because his detractors have realized that he remains the most eligible and most detribalized Igbo man that can rule the country.
