There are indications that the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) has cancelled ace singer, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke’s compulsory one-year national orientation exercise.
This is according to a comment which the ‘Fall’ singer posted on Thursday on Instagram while reacting to a post made by Adesegun Adeosun, a music promoter popularly known s Smade who just finished his three-week NYSC orientation program and got a letter of recommendation.
“Naso dem cancel my own,” Davido wrote.
The 2015 graduate of Music from Babcock University had registered for the 2018 Batch ‘B’ Stream II. He was also among the Corp members who were sworn in on August 30 in Lagos.
After promising to take part in all camp activities, the 26-year-old singer cancelled his United States tour that was scheduled to hold in September due to NYSC commitments.
“Due to scheduling conflicts and NYSC commitments in Nigeria, the remaining dates for the Davido ‘Locked Up Tour’ has been cancelled. Refunds will be made available at point of purchase,” he had tweeted.
However, there has been no official statement from the NYSC refuting or confirming Davido’s claim.
