A leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, who was stabbed during the flag off of the gubernatorial campaigns of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos on Tuesday, may be flown abroad for further treatment.
MC Oluomo was injured along with three journalists and other persons when violence broke out at the venue of the rally which held at the Sky Power Ground at GRA, Ikeja.
It was gathered that no fewer than three police vans were keeping guard at the Eko Hospital where MC Oluomo is currently being treated after he was stabbed with a knife.
This is even as chieftains of the party in Lagos have been visiting the hospital to sympathize with the injured NURTW leader who is believed to be very close to the party’s leadership in the state.
However, on Thursday, a close aide of the Union leader told journalists that plans have been conclude to fly him abroad for treatment by a specialist based in the United States where he is a citizen.
“He was stabbed in the neck and by the side with what they call Makanje (poisoned knife). He is a citizen of the United States so there cannot be any problem with his medical treatment abroad.
“In fact, he will be flown out in a few days for better medical care. Contrary to what they are saying, Baba (MC Oluomo) is not dead,” the aide said.
