The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has suspended Governors Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha of Ogun and Imo States from the party for alleged anti-party activities. The NWC also recommended the expulsion of the governors from the ruling party.
The party’s decision was confirmed by APC’s spokesperson, Lanre Isa-Onilu. The recommendation was sent to APC’s National Executive Committee, the party’s highest decision making organ, for ratification.
Amosun and Okorocha are supporting their preferred candidates for governor in other parties after their choice candidates lost the APC primaries in their respective states.
