Former Nigerian international and ex-Barcelona left winger, Emmanuel Amuneke has guided the Tanzanian national football team to qualify for this year’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Taifa Stars on Sunday evening thrashed the Cranes of Uganda 3-0 at the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam to secure a spot in the Nations Cup to be hosted by Egypt for the first time in 39 years.
A first half goal from Simon Msuwa and two more from Erasto Nyoni and Aggrey Morris in the second half secured the win for the Tanzanians.
With the result, Amuneke’s boys finished second in group L with eight points, five behind group leaders Uganda, who had already qualified for the finals.
