President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday pledged that his administration will do its best to correct and reverse the terrible mismanagement the country has experienced in the past.
Speaking while receiving a delegation of non-career ambassadors who came to the State House, Abuja to congratulate him on his re-election, Buhari said that he believed that with some luck, his best will be good enough for Nigerians.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari further noted that the country was trying to live within her means in order to upgrade her profile, both locally and internationally.
Responding, Ambassador Ashimiyu Olaniyi who spoke on behalf of the delegation described Buhari’s election in 2015 and his recent re-election as divine interventions in the affairs of the country.
Olaniyi added that the President would be remembered as an astute political leader who did not interfere in the political affairs of states.
The ambassadors appreciated the intervention funds that were released to various foreign missions, pledging their continued loyalty and support to the Buhari administration.
