An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure on Wednesday morning sentenced Seidu Adeyemi to death by hanging for killing Khadijat Oluboyo, the daughter of a former deputy governor of the state.
Khadijat, a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAU), Akungba-Akoko was found dead inside Adeyemi’s room at his residence in Oke Aro area of Akure on July 2, 2018.
Handing down the sentence, the presiding judge, Justice Samuel Bola said the evidence before the court as to Adeyemi’s involvement in Khadijat’s murder was overwhelming.
