The Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday ordered the final forfeiture of the sums of N9.2 billion and $8.4million dollars traced to former Nigerian First Lady, Patience Jonathan and her associates.
Justice Cecilia Olatoregun who who gave the order, directed that the monies should be forfeited to the Federal Government on the grounds that they were proceeds of crime. She ruled that Mrs. Jonathan and the affected firms could not legitimately account for the ownership of the said funds.
