Gunmen on Saturday night kidnapped four Turkish nationals in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Confirming the abductions, the spokesman of the Kwara State Police command, Ajayi Okasanmi said the Turks who are construction workers were kidnapped at a bar at Gbale village late Saturday.
Okasanmi gave the names the victims as Seyit Keklik, 25; Yasin Colak, 33; Ergun Yurdakul, 35 and Senerapal, 40.
The Police spokesman said the Police Commissioner in the state, Kayode Egbetokun had dispatched teams under Operation Puff Adder in the area to rescue the expatriates and arrest the kidnappers.
He further assured that the rescue efforts were already yielding positive results.
