The Enugu State Police Command says it is on the trail of masked men who abducted a former National Youth Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Ude Okoye.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the abduction in Enugu on Tuesday said that a positive result was expected from its ongoing manhunt.
“We are on the trail of his abductors who allegedly kidnapped him from his farm in Agbogugu community,’’ Amaraizu said.
Amaraizu added that the gunmen who abducted the former youth leader might have been known to him as they masked themselves in order to hide their identities.
Reports say Okoye, who was a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly was kidnapped on Monday evening around 7:00 pm while he was returning from his farm in Agbogugu community in Awgu Local Government Area of the state.
