North Korea on Thursday threatened to resume its nuclear and long-range missile tests, describing outside condemnation of her weapon launches as a grave provocation.
Thursday’s warning by the country‘s Foreign Ministry followed the weekend breakdown of North Korea-US nuclear negotiations in Sweden, the first of such talks between the countries in more than seven months.
A statement from the North Korean Foreign Ministry also reacted to Tuesday’s condemnation by the European members of the United Nations Security Council over its recent ballistic missile and other weapons tests.
The statement added that the condemnation was pushing Pyongyang to reconsider whether to maintain the disarmament steps it has taken to build confidence with the US.
North Korea had last year suspended nuclear and long-range missile tests and partially dismantled its long-range rocket test site.
