The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the election of Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State.
Delivering its judgement on Monday, the five-man panel of the court dismissed the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate in the March 9 poll, Abubakar Danladi.
The court affirmed the judgment of the Taraba State Governorship Election Tribunal which had earlier upheld Governor Ishaku’s re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Appellate Court held that APC had no candidate in the governorship election in the state on the grounds of the disqualification of its candidate by the Jalingo Division of the Federal High Court on March 6, 2019.
