
Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has condemned an attack on the convoy of the Emir of Potiskum, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram.
Gunmen, according to the Senate President, attacked the Emir’s convoy on Tuesday night around Maraban Jos on the Kaduna-Zaria Road, killing at least six persons including some aides of the Emir and injuring others.
Lawan expressed his condolence with the Emir and the families of those killed in the sad incident and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He also called on the security agencies to bring to justice the perpetrators of the crime and to ensure quick rescue of those who were abducted in the incident.
