The Supreme Court has adjourned till tomorrow, March 3, its hearing of the application seeking a reversal of its judgement of January 14 which sacked the Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo State.
At the court on Monday, Kanu Agabi, counsel to Ihedioha, asked the seven-man panel of justices to give him more time to file a reply to an application by the legal team of Mr Hope Uzodinma, the incumbent governor of the state.
Said Agabi : “The matter was adjourned for hearing and just few moments ago we were served with a process and we will have to look at it. If it is convenient for us to come back tomorrow.”
This is the second time the seven-man panel of the Supreme Court led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad is adjourning the matter. It first adjourned the hearing on February 18 till today, March 2.
