The wife of the Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari, has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to immediately release her aides.
Sahara Reporters had earlier reported that Aisha’s aides were detained based on the orders of the Chief Security Officer to the President, Idris Kassim.
The story as told by Sahara Reporters is that a senior aide to the President named Yusuf Sabiu alias Tunde refused to self-isolate after returning from a trip to another state. He is said to have forced his way into the villa and this prompted the First Lady’s aides to force him out.
Angered by the treatment he received from Mrs Buhari’s aides, Sabiu is said to have contacted Mr Idris Kassim who angrily got the police to round up the aides who were then clamped into detention.
Mrs. Buhari shed light on what transpired in a series of tweets on Friday via her twitter page.

will do well to remember that.
Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody.
