Presidency spokesman,Mr Garba Shehu has made a startling revelation about the incessant attacks by bandits on communities in Zamfara and Katsina states.

He revealed that some traditional rulers in the two states have been found to be collaborating with the bandits. He said a number of emirs and district heads have been found to be complicit leading to their removal from office.

In Garba Shehu’s words: “It is not that we are making direct accusations on anyone but it is also true that even in the President’s native state of Katsina, some traditional rulers have been found complicit in collaboration with the bandits to harm their own people.

“In neighbouring Zamfara, emirs and district heads, quite a number of them have been swept out of office. The thing is they are beneficiaries of whatever rotten system you have.”
