The House of Representatives has approved the request by President Muhammadu Buhari for yet another hefty loan request.
The lawmakers approved the request at Tuesday’s plenary after the committee on aids, loans, and debt management gave its report.
President Buhari had said in 2019 that the loan was intended to fund key infrastructure in the country.
Last month, both Houses approved an ₦850 billion loan proposal from the president “to fund critical capital projects in the 2020 budget.”
The President wrote to both chambers last week, seeking the approval of another $5.513 billion foreign loan.
