The House of Representatives has asked the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to publish, within 48 hours, the names of members of the 9th National Assembly whom he claimed got 60 percent of contracts awarded by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Should the minister fail to publish the names, Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila said, the House will employ the full wrath of the law to ensure he does so.
Gbajabiamila said the Minister should publish the names of the lawmakers, particularly members of the 9th Assembly.
Akpabio had alleged that most of the contracts by the NDDC were given out to members of the National Assembly. He made this disclosure during his presentation at the NDDC probe by the House Committee on Niger Delta on Monday.
