Nigeria on Thursday recorded 1,398 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 103,999. Nine new deaths were also recorded.
The latest report were disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official twitter handle.
To date, 103,999 cases have been confirmed, 82,555 cases have been discharged and 1,382 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the NCDC, the 1,398 new cases were reported from 23 states- Lagos (542), FCT (131), Oyo (120), Rivers (113), Plateau (111), Kaduna (71), Kwara (71), Akwa Ibom (34), Sokoto (31), Benue (28), Ogun (27), Kano (26), Kebbi (17), Osun (12), Nasarawa (11), Delta (10), Gombe (10), Bayelsa (9), Borno (9), Edo (8), Ekiti (3), Jigawa (2), and Katsina (2).
The latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 37,852, followed by Abuja (13,938), Plateau (6,073), Kaduna (5,888), Oyo (4,546), Rivers (4,124), Edo (3,143), Ogun (2,727), Kano (2,491), Delta (2,031), Ondo (2,006), Katsina (1,692), Kwara (1,566), Enugu (1,506), Gombe (1,467), Ebonyi (1,159), Nasarawa (1,153), Osun (1,110), Bauchi (1,100), and Abia (1,095) .
Borno State has recorded 844 cases, Imo (806), Benue (629), Sokoto (590), Bayelsa (586), Akwa Ibom (553), Niger (508), Adamawa (497), Ekiti (446), Anambra (433), Jigawa (421), Kebbi (240), Taraba (239), Yobe (207), Cross River (169), Zamfara (159), while Kogi state has recorded 5 cases only.
