Former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio stepped down for Tinubu as he was addressing the delegates shortly before the commencement of voting.
Governors Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) and Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa) also stepped down for Tinubu.
