President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived back in Abuja from London, concluding his week-long dental treatment in the United Kingdom. The Gulfstream jet carrying the President taxied to the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, marking his return to Nigeria.
President Buhari’s flight landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 4:45 pm local time, as he completed his visit to the United Kingdom, which primarily centered around his dental procedure. The President’s departure from Nigeria on May 3 was initially intended for his participation in the coronation ceremony of King Charles III of the United Kingdom on May 6, followed by a Commonwealth meeting on May 5.
However, due to the need for dental treatment, President Buhari rescheduled his return, extending his stay in London for an additional week. The decision was announced by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement issued earlier. Adesina explained that the President’s dentist had requested more time to attend to him, leading to the extension of his stay in the UK.
