Osun State, Nigeria – Governor Ademola Adeleke has taken a significant step towards enhancing governance in Osun State by appointing commissioners after seven months of running the government without a cabinet. The announcement comes after the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) criticized the governor for the delay.
The list of nominees, sent to the State Assembly, was revealed by Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, the speaker, during a plenary session held on Friday.
Among the nominees are Barrister Oladosu Babatunde, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe, Mr. Sesan Ephraim Oyedele, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, Mr. Soji Ajeigbe, and Mr. Moshood Olalekan Olagunju. These individuals, along with Honorable George Alabi, Honorable Sunday Olufemi Oroniyi, Mr. Abiodun Bankole Ojo, and Dr. Basiru Tokunbo Salami, will play pivotal roles in shaping the policies and programs of the state government.
Additionally, Mr. Morufu Ayofe, Mr. Sola Ogungbile, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, Mrs. Ayo Awolowo, Barrister Wole Jimi Bada, Honorable Dipo Eluwole, Alhaji Rasheed Aderibigbe, Professor Morufu Ademola Adeleke, Mr. Adeyemo Festus Ademola, and Mr. Olabiyi Anthony Odunlade are also part of the team. The remaining nominees, Barrister Jola Akintola, Honorable Mayowa Adejorin, Mrs. Adenike Folashade Adeleke, Mr. Tola Faseru, and Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
