The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called for a nationwide strike set to begin August 2nd in response to federal policies under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The major labour union is mobilizing to push back against fuel price increases and other government actions.
NLC spokesperson Ben Upah confirmed the planned August strike action in an exclusive interview with Daily Post Wednesday. Upah indicated the strike notice will be formally conveyed through an upcoming statement from the union’s leadership.
