Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu swore in 37 cabinet members on Tuesday, charging them to diligently serve the people’s interests during their four-year tenure.
The governor administered the oath of office to newly appointed commissioners and special advisers at a ceremony in Ikeja. He asked the officials to perform their duties with seriousness and align with his agenda.
Sanwo-Olu praised the state legislature’s thorough vetting of nominees over four weeks to ensure optimal competence and integrity.
The governor also reminded cabinet members to uphold excellence in all endeavors, emphasizing the need for inclusive governance.
Looking ahead, Sanwo-Olu vowed his administration will complete major ongoing infrastructure projects for Lagosians, including the Red Line rail system, Ojota-Opebi link bridge, and Agric-Isawo road upgrades.
With his core team now sworn in, the governor can fully advance his ambitious policy vision during his second term steering Africa’s largest city. The new officials face high expectations from citizens seeking impactful solutions to Lagos challenges.
