The House of Representatives has officially confirmed Lieutenant-General Olufemi Oluyede as the substantive Chief of Army Staff.
The confirmation, announced during Thursday’s plenary session presided over by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, followed Oluyede’s screening by the Joint Committees on Defence and Army.
Presenting the report, Babajimi Benson, Chairman of the Defence Committee, urged the House to confirm Oluyede.
