Mrs. Nwamaka Benedeth Ezeonyeka is an accomplished educationist, visionary leader, and the driving force behind Spring Schools, Lagos which she founded in 1993. With a career spanning over four decades, she has dedicated her life to improving the education sector in Nigeria, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative learning among students and educators.

Mrs. Ezeonyeka attended Loretto Teacher’s Training College, Adazi, Anambra State, where she obtained a Grade Two Certificate in 1981. She advanced her studies at the Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, earning a National Certificate in Education (N.C.E.) in 1993. Her passion for teaching led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) at the Lagos State University (LASU), graduating in 2000. Committed to early childhood education, she earned a Diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2008 and recently completed a Master’s in Early Childhood Education at the University of Lagos.

Mrs. Ezeonyeka is the Proprietress of Spring Children’s School and Value Spring College, institutions that provide comprehensive education from toddler and nursery levels to junior and senior secondary education. Both schools are approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Education and are celebrated for their commitment to producing well-rounded students.

Her innovative contributions to education include curriculum development and teacher training workshops, emphasizing modern teaching methodologies, classroom management, and the integration of technology in learning. Her philosophy centers on holistic education that nurtures students academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for global integration and lifelong success.

Under her leadership, Spring Schools has initiated several community outreach programs, offering educational opportunities for underprivileged children. She actively fosters parent-teacher collaborations, promoting a community-oriented approach to student success.

Nwamaka Ezeonyeka’s efforts have been recognized nationally, with numerous awards for her pioneering contributions to education. She is also a sought-after consultant for schools and an advocate for professional development among educators.

A proud wife to Chief Godwin U. Ezeonyeka and a mother of eight, Mrs. Ezeonyeka enjoys reading, coaching, attending educational conferences, and traveling to explore global educational systems.

Her mission to nurture disciplined, responsible, and hardworking leaders with a lifelong love for learning continues to inspire educators, students, and communities alike. Ezeonyeka remains a beacon of excellence and innovation in the field of education in Nigeria.

It was in recognition of her contribution to nation building in the area of Development, Management and Delivery of Quality Education in Nigeria that Mrs. Nwamaka Benedeth Ezeonyeka was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award.
