Mr. Aruwaji Rotimi Gbotemi is a highly motivated and results-oriented financial manager, currently serving as Financial Controller at The Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos. With a career spanning over a decade in high-end hospitality finance, he has established himself as a key management staff, dedicated to achieving organizational goals through rigorous financial control and innovative strategy.

His professional approach combines strong analytical and data management skills with excellent communication, enabling him to interpret and clearly communicate complex financial data and its impact on the organization’s bottom line.

Mr. Aruwaji’s expertise is underpinned by a robust professional and academic foundation. He achieved the status of Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (A.C.A) in 2022. Prior to his professional qualification, he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing from the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in 2007, following a National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration from the same institution in 2004. His specialized training includes Account Payable/Hospitality training at The Westin Hotel Dubai, equipping him with global best practices in hospitality accounting.

His extensive work history demonstrates a mastery of financial management functions, with significant and progressive tenure at Four Points by Sheraton, Lagos. Before his current position, he was the Chief Accountant/Payable Analyst from 2019 to 2023, occasionally relieving the Finance Manager of responsibilities. As an Account Payable Supervisor/Analyst (2015–2019), his duties included preparing financial statements/reports for the General Manager and board of directors, preparing revenue projections, managing credit, and processing the full cycle of accounts payable.

Earlier in his career, he developed a deep understanding of revenue assurance as an Income Auditor and Night Auditor for both Four Points by Sheraton and Best Western The Island Hotel Lagos. He is proficient in various accounting platforms, including Opera PMS, Sage Pastel Evolution, and SAP Automated.
