Over the years, her work has earned her notable  recognition. She emerged as the Female Reporter of the Year at the Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA) in 2019. Beyond journalism, she is the Co-Founder of MedMison Outreach, a grassroots nonprofit committed to providing direct aid, empowerment, and social intervention for underserved communities. Her advocacy for women’s rights and protection from domestic violence has led her to volunteer with several organisations dedicated to combating abuse across Nigeria. Her passion for gender justice also shaped her Master’s thesis, which explored the media’s role in addressing domestic abuse—a subject she continues to champion through her journalism, public engagement, and non-profit work.
