Boxing great, Muhammad Ali, died in a unique and surprising way. His daughter, Hana Ali, who was one of close family members at his bedside before he died, revealed how confounded the doctors were over how Ali died.
She revealed that doctors said Ali died of septic shock but that even after all the organs of his body packed up, his heart kept beating for 30 minutes. The doctors reportedly said they never saw a thing like that before.
The funeral arrangements for Muhammad Ali according to the family’s spokesman, will commence on Thursday next week with a private family ceremony.
On Friday, the family will gather at the funeral location where they will be joined by the Imam who is presiding over the funeral rites. He will be taken through the streets of Louisville and then stop by at the Muhammad Ali Centre where Former US president, Bill Clinton will give the eulogy.
However, the mayor of Louisville in the state of Kentucky which is Ali’s hometown, today flagged off the tributes to the legend. Mayor Greg Fischer led the process of the lowering of all flags in the city so, for the next few days, flags in Louisville will fly at half-mast.
