Elizabeth Nneamaka Obaloje is an extremely effective, brilliant, and resourceful pharmacist. Indeed, she is a rising star in the field of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management. She is the first and current Head of Pharmacy at the ultra–modern, new-generation Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Elizabeth Obaloje is a woman of excellence. She graduated from the University of Lagos as the Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Pharmacy for the 2003/2004 academic year.
Having joined the services of Duchess Hospital in the year 2021, she was in charge of setting up its pharmacy. In her role as head, she administers the department’s budgets and ensures that her department complies with local, state and federal regulations through strict operational tracking. She manages the facility inventory, including handling vendor returns, tracking levels, and coordinating transfers and medications. She also co-ordinates effective departmental collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
From July 2017 to December 2020, Elizabeth Obaloje was the Head of Pharmacy at Grays Cardiology Centre of Reddington Multispecialist Hospital in Ikeja GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
She was Deputy Head of Pharmacy of Reddington Multispecialist Hospital, Ikeja GRA from February 2014 to June 2017. She joined Reddington as Senior Pharmacist at their Victoria Island hospital in July 2007.
Elizabeth also worked as Pharmacist Manager at Medplus Pharmacy and Stores, Victoria Island, Lagos between September 2006 and July 2007. While observing the compulsory National Youth Service between 2005 and 2006, she worked at the Federal Medical Centre in Yola, Adamawa State.
The young Elizabeth had her primary education at Our Ladies of Apostle Private School Yaba, Lagos. She went on to attend the famous Queens College in Yaba and bagged her Senior Secondary School Certificate in 1998.
In August 2004, she graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree. As stated earlier, she was the Best Graduating Student of the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy for the 2003/2004 academic year.
In October 2012, Elizabeth Obaloje earned an M.Sc in Public Health (Health Management) from the University of Lagos. She qualified as Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (FPC Pharm) in May 2022.
Outside the world of pharmacy, Mrs. Obaloje loves listening to music, watching movies, playing games, and reading as pastimes.
It is in recognition of her contribution to national development in the sphere of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services that Mrs. Elizabeth Nneamaka Obaloje was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award which is part of the PSR National Awards.
