President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in seven newly appointed ministers during a ceremony at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja. This comes after the nominees were confirmed by the Senate on Thursday following individual screening sessions.

The newly appointed ministers took the oath of office in two groups. The first group included Idi Maiha, who will serve as the Minister of Livestock Development; Yusuf Ata, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development; Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad, Minister of State for Education; and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The second group comprised Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; and Muhammadu Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment.

The appointments follow a significant cabinet reshuffle announced on October 23, during which President Tinubu reassigned 10 ministers, dismissed five, and nominated these seven new ministers for Senate approval.
