The University of Maiduguri was this morning rocked by twin bomb explosions that left several persons dead. The attack is said to have taken place at about 6:30 am when staff and students were observing early morning prayers.
Although no group has claimed responsibility for the onslaught, many fingers point at Boko Haram. Heavily armed security officials have since been deployed to the university premises.
