According to Forbes, Beyonce is officially the highest paid woman in music with an astonishing $105 million in pre-tax earnings.

Despite a huge chunk of her earnings being taken off due to her pregnancy, the R&B singer raked in the stunning figure courtesy of her latest album ‘Lemonade’ and her lucrative ‘Formation’ world tour.

The Forbes list which is measured on pre-tax income from June 1, 2016 to June 1, 2017 saw the mother of newly-born twins, Rumi and Sir, topple Taylor Swift who held the first spot in the 2016 listing with $175 million.

In a distant second position is Adele with $69 million. Taylor Swift ($44 million) slipped to the third position while Canadian soul music icon, Celine Dion occupied the fourth spot with $42 million.

Jennifer Lopez is  fifth with $38 million and 71-year-old Dolly Parton ($37 million) surprisingly occupies the sixth position with the help of her 63 shows during the period. Others are : Rihanna ($36 million), Britney Spears ($34 million), Katy Perry ($33 million) and Barbara Streisand ($30 million). 

Forbes compiles the list based on interviews with managers, agents, lawyers and some of the stars. It also looks at data from the Pollstar, the Recording Industry Association of America and tracking firm, Nielsen SoundScan.
