A man has used his speeding truck to ram into a crowd in Nice, France while they gathered to celebrate the Bastille Day tonight. It has been declared as an act of terrorism.

The truck driver deliberately accelerated his vehicle through the festive crowd. He drove from street to street for as far as two kilometres, aiming to kill any person in his way. More than 100 have been declared injured in the act and the Nice Mayor has said that several explosives and firearms were found in the driver’s vehicle.

The driver was shot dead by the authorities and the street of Boulevard des Anglais —a main street in Nice— is littered with lifeless bodies.
