Kidnappers of first class Lagos monarch, the Oniba of Iba, Oba Yishau Goriola Oseni have contacted his family with a demand of 500 million naira for his release.

Around the palace of the monarch, the story of the ransom is not a secret although it is confirmed in whispers. Some close sources even say that  the demand has been disclosed to the Iba Local Council Development Area which is expected to convey it to the Lagos State Government.

However, no government source has confirmed knowledge of the kidnappers’ demand. The demand for ransom is apparently the first contact the kidnappers have made to the king’s family.
